Statement of Values
Our founders inspire the values and principles of JD Young. Their dedication to total customer satisfaction lives on through our values. To that end, we set forth this statement of values to guide us in our daily work.
At JD Young, total customer satisfaction is our purpose, and we are committed to:

We feel a sense of urgency on all matters related to our customers. We strive to provide only the highest
quality service. We know that meeting customer needs is the key principle to our on-going success. We will
always strive to do what is right for our customers. We are customer-driven.
We make commitments with care, and then live up to them. In all things, we do what we say we are going to
do. We are frugal. We guard and conserve the company’s resources with at least the same vigilance that we
would use to guard and conserve our own personal resources. We admit when we are wrong. We take
personal responsibility for every action, reaction, and response.
Work is an important part of life, and it should be fun. Being a good businessperson does not mean being
stuffy and boring. Our attitude is a reflection of what we value: successful team members who are upbeat,
proactive, and passionate about everything they do.
• Excellence in Character
We require complete honesty and integrity in everything we do. We insist on giving our best effort in
everything we undertake. Furthermore, we see a huge difference between “good mistakes” (best effort, bad
result) and “bad mistakes” (sloppiness or lack of effort). We believe in the “Golden Rule,” which simply stated says we are to treat everyone in the same way that we wish to be treated.
We believe in the power of teamwork without losing the power of the individual. We respect the individual,
and believe that individuals who are treated with respect and given responsibility respond by giving their
best. We recognize that a group is only as good as its weakest member.
